Sunday

  • It's snowing. Great.
  • Horoscope:
    Look up, Saj, your star is rising. You don't need some wise man dressed up in a robe to point out that the world is turning. (Maybe even revolving around you!) Now, along comes Venus in a little elf suit to offer a leg up. (So to speak.) It's all very flattering, of course. But is it wise? Santa's no fool. Will you be naughty? Or will you be nice?

  • Uncool hunting.
  • New York Times Magazine kicks off this year's end of year lists. The Year in Ideas. Notables: Eyeball Jewelry, Best Way to Skip a Stone, The Television Blaster. Wait...turning off television? That's not a good idea. Not before the bowl games, Big Dance, or NBA finals at least.
  • The Heisman race is over. Yawn. Anybody notice this year?
  • Won my first (and only second attempt) to bid on something from ebay. A set of Chimay glasses. Let's see if they arrive in one piece from Belgium (or at all).
  • NPR loves to insert sports into their Sunday lineup. Why? They just don't do it right. It's like listening to muzak versions of Ornette Coleman's Free Jazz. Either hire Ditka or Irvin to help our, or give it up.
  • Miami basketball smack talk. Yo! Miami Killian rules. Uh, wait a minute, no it doesn’t.
