08/10/2004 Archived Entry: "places I eat at"
From the list collection (a continuing weblog project sponsored by the Jack Goody society for grammatology):
Places I Eat At Part 7
Thai Gardens: cheap cheap cheap. If they think you're not white, the food is really hot.
Beirut Palace: La Shish is too far away. Otherwise, they win. Royal Oak is closer. The only Arab restaurant nearby that doesn't serve crappy pita wrapped in plastic. I want my pita fresh!
Noble Fish: recent find. Best damn sushi around. And red bean ice cream out front in the store.
Udipi: All the time. Nuff said.
Star of India: When I don't feel like driving to Farmington Hills. But it's no Udipi.
Nami Sushi: The pre-Noble Fish days. And I could walk there if I wanted to. If I wanted to, I said...
Everest Express: It was just one time back in February or sometime around then. But not bad. Waitress: I bet you've never had Nepalese food before..." Sarika: "I have. Many times." I really don't like eating out that much actually...
WAB: I don't eat there. The place doesn't have a stove and serves the worse burritos in town. I just drink the beer. The marzen's pretty good these days...
Burrito Brothers: No wait. That's in Gainesville. (I could mention Pizza Palace too then..but no wait...it closed years ago... damnit to hell!)
Home: Ain't no place like it. Let me heat up the pizza stone....
