07/16/2004 Archived Entry: "note"

Yesterday I saw a little girl run up to my door and then run away. Since kids often are hired to leave newsletters and other stuff on door steps, I didn't think much of it. I went out later and found this note in my mailbox:

Now, did I really break her heart? Who was she? Wrong house? Right house? Ah...mysteries....

She pictured you acting out your blog motto and then became smitten. But Jimmy Collins looks great in a thong, and she is so--> over the whole thing.

When I came to your door to sell girl scout cookies last week, you told me to "scram." But I thought you were sooooo cute. Remember that other note I left? I asked you to check "yes" if you liked me, "no" if you don't. You never wrote back and it broke my heart.

But now I like Jimmy Collins. He's in sixth grade and he's my boyfriend. I'm wearing his jacket and everything. Too late for you!
