Hi John
The practice will come from the application of the various theoretical assumptions we read and place in conversation with one another. I.e. - designing (and then doing) a major assignment based on one or more of the readings and constructing a syllabus to use the next semester when they start teaching.

Jeff, I'll be a little self-serving here. Your course reading list is quite good. But you have the word "practices" in the course title, but have no source addressing where most of the "practice" of college composition occurs, namely community colleges. There's Howard Tinberg's book, Mark Reynolds' collection, and I have a couple of articles. Won't some of your students teach in CCs? Shouldn't they do some reading/thinking about comp in that environment?

Also, TYCA is developing a document on the Two-year college Teacher Scholar which will be ready for NCTE meeting in Indianapolis in November.
